Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney

Location:

• Buffalo, NY

Duties:

• Analyze insurance and reinsurance policies and prepare comprehensive coverage opinions

• Assess complex legal issues related to insurance contracts

• Provide strategic and clear recommendations to clients regarding coverage matters

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials

• Manage litigation caseload from start to finish, including depositions and court appearances

• Conduct in-depth legal research and respond to regulatory matters

• Maintain strong client relationships and adhere to client service standards

• Record and manage billable hours accurately and meet all deadlines

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage or a related legal field

• Admitted to practice in New York State

• Experience in federal court preferred

• Familiarity with discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation

• Background in insurance defense is a plus

• Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads independently and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar license in the State of New York
