Duties:

  • Manage and oversee a diverse caseload of litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and arguments effectively.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop comprehensive litigation strategies.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, and mediations.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients regarding case status and developments.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Uphold compliance with all applicable legal standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in New York.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant litigation experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Current admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in legal research and case management software.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on client service.

Compensation:

  • The starting salary for attorneys without a book of business is anticipated to be $250K+, supplemented by generous benefits and a potential bonus structure. Compensation agreements for business producers will be customized based on production levels.
