A law firm seeks a talented and experienced Civil Associate Attorney to join its growing team. Duties

  • Manage a diverse caseload of civil matters, including taking on client consultations and managing day-to-day case activities.
  • Lead and oversee the litigation process, including drafting and reviewing legal documents, preparing for and conducting depositions, and representing clients in court.
  • Independently handle trials and appeals, ensuring all aspects of litigation are well-executed.
  • Manage and mentor junior staff, including paralegals and legal assistants, while ensuring team efficiency and productivity.
  • Draft research articles, legal memoranda, and client newsletters.
  • Provide guidance and educational presentations to clients, demonstrating expertise and enhancing client relationships.
  • Contribute to the development of the firm's practice through innovative solutions and proactive case management.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in civil litigation and handling complex civil cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on persuasive legal writing.
  • Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to legal challenges.
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and guide junior staff.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Missouri.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice law in Missouri is required.
  • Additional certifications or relevant legal specializations are a plus.
