Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Pennsylvania and New Jersey is looking for a mid-level litigation attorney to handle various general liability cases. This opportunity includes both in-office and remote options, allowing flexibility in work location. The attorney will be tasked with managing cases independently, preparing legal documents, defending and taking depositions, providing strategic legal counsel, and representing clients in court when necessary.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of general liability matters across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions as well as handle oral arguments.
• Provide comprehensive legal analysis and counsel on liability claims.
• Represent clients in court as required, ensuring effective legal advocacy.
• Handle various types of cases including premises liability, automobile, insurance defense, and general liability.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
• 3-5 years of litigation experience, particularly in defending liability claims.
• Experience drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, and responding to written discovery.
• Skilled in taking and defending depositions and conducting oral arguments.
• Proficiency in handling general liability, premises liability, automobile, and insurance defense cases.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Bars.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proficient in legal software and technology.
