  • Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as necessary.
  • Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
  • Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing detailed reports.
  • Negotiate settlements and secure trial authority as necessary.
  • Maintain consistent communication with paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently and independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment and contribute to team goals.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
  • 1-5 years of experience in workers' compensation law.
  • Prior insurance defense experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients, colleagues, and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn new systems.
