Job Overview: A law firm seeks an enthusiastic Associate Attorney to join its Family Law practice in Longmont, CO. This position provides a dynamic opportunity to engage in a wide variety of family law matters, from case initiation through trial or settlement. Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law cases, including client consultations and court appearances.
  • Draft and respond to legal motions and other pertinent documents.
  • Review and manage disclosures and discovery materials.
  • Prepare settlement agreements and support negotiation processes.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and meet all legal deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members on case strategy and legal research.
  • Engage in trials, hearings, and settlement negotiations as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado or pending application.
  • 0-3 years of relevant legal experience (family law experience preferred but not required).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships and court interactions.
  • Excellent legal writing and research abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adhere to deadlines, and adapt to evolving case demands.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a recognized law institution.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado (or application pending).

Skills:

  • Solid legal research and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with courtroom procedures and litigation practices.

Location: Longmont, CO (Hybrid work model available after establishment).
