Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Client Intake & Initial Consultation:

    • Build trust and demonstrate compassion with clients.
    • Accurately document case facts, including liability, damages, and coverage details.
    • Identify action items for the firm and client to ensure efficient case progression.
  • Investigation & Case Development:

    • Direct investigations to gather critical evidence and build robust cases.
    • Evaluate insurance coverage and assess evidence for potential legal claims.
  • Negotiation & Settlement:

    • Prepare cases for trial while evaluating full settlement value.
    • Cultivate relationships with insurance adjusters and engage in strategic negotiations.
    • File lawsuits and guide clients through the litigation process when needed.
  • Litigation & Trial Preparation:

    • Prepare pleadings and discovery for active cases.
    • Strategize and execute trial preparations, mediation, or arbitration based on case needs.
  • General Responsibilities:

    • Review and approve correspondence drafted by team members.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cases are processed efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Strong negotiation, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities in high-stakes situations.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in the state of Massachusetts (or eligibility for admission).

Skills:

  • Expert legal knowledge in personal injury law.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Compassionate and client-focused approach to legal practice.
