The ideal candidate will have a JD degree and at least 2 years of experience in construction contracting and development. This role involves providing transactional and litigation support across various industry sectors, focusing on design, construction, and development agreements.

Job Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate design, construction, and development agreements in diverse industry sectors.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on claims management, change orders, extra work claims, delay, and construction defect claims.
  • Assist in litigation and arbitration matters, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions and preparing for depositions, mediations, and hearings.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with clients, legal teams, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality work products and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Comply with firm policies and practices, fostering positive work relationships.

Requirements:

  • JD degree and admission to the AZ Bar.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction contracting and related development.
  • Familiarity with industry form agreements (e.g., AIA forms).
  • Strong analytical, writing, and research skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Prior experience with litigation or arbitration preferred.
  • Good business judgment and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Arizona State Bar.
