Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A well-established law firm located in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Litigation Attorney. The firm represents a diverse clientele in various business-related legal disputes, including contract law, business torts, real estate litigation, construction issues, and intellectual property matters. This role is fully remote and offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Duties:

  • Draft legal documents such as letters, memos, motions, orders, and pleadings.
  • Conduct legal research on various topics relevant to ongoing cases.
  • Prepare the lead attorney for hearings and other legal proceedings.
  • Manage case files and ensure that case deadlines are adhered to.
  • Coordinate discovery efforts with paralegals and support staff.
  • Handle communications with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of experience as an associate attorney.
  • Proficiency with legal research and writing, including top performance in relevant law school courses.
  • Experience using legal software, particularly Clio, is a plus.
  • Must have experience using Outlook, Adobe, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a fully remote setup with reliable internet and a distraction-free environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Graduated in the top 25% of the law school class, at least cum laude.
  • Strong academic background, particularly in legal research and writing.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida Bar or eligibility to obtain it.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with strong time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven experience in billing and time management practices.
