A law firm seeks an Investment Management Associate Attorney with three to six years of experience in institutional investment transactions to join a dedicated legal team. This role is based in Seattle, WA, where the successful candidate will provide sophisticated legal counsel on investment transactions for a variety of institutional clients, including pension funds, high-net-worth individuals, endowments, universities, sovereign entities, and insurance companies. Duties

  • Provide counsel on traditional and alternative investment transactions for a diverse set of institutional clients.
  • Collaborate with other legal practice groups to ensure comprehensive investment management services.
  • Manage and oversee complex documentation processes for investment transactions.
  • Engage in negotiations and communication with clients and counterparts.
  • Handle multiple projects and transactions simultaneously with precision and attention to detail.
  • Participate in pro bono and public service initiatives to support the firm's community engagement.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3-6 years in investment management, fund formation, or related legal field.
  • Licensing: Must hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and be licensed to practice law.
  • Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, and writing skills with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Communication: Exceptional client-service approach, with proficient negotiation and communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate within a diverse team environment as well as work independently when required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
