Product Liability And Class Action Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Bloomfield Hills, MI, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Product Liability and Class Action Litigation Associate Attorney. This role involves comprehensive case management, from motion practice and discovery to trial preparation and participation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defense work, particularly in catastrophic injury cases, and be adept in various aspects of litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct motion practice and handle all aspects of discovery.
• Draft and file legal briefs, motions, and other documents.
• Prepare company witnesses for depositions and take depositions as required.
• Defend depositions and attend court appearances.
• Interact with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information.
• Prepare for trials and participate actively in trial proceedings.
• Manage all facets of case management, including fact investigation and discovery.
• Collaborate with team members to strategize and execute case plans.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in product liability and class action litigation.
• Proven defense experience in catastrophic injury cases is highly preferred.
• Experience within the automotive industry and e-discovery is advantageous.
• Demonstrated expertise in case management, including fact investigation and discovery.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with a proven ability to advocate effectively.
• Admission to practice law in Michigan is required.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Michigan.
