Duties

  • Conduct thorough pre-suit investigations and due diligence to prepare for litigation.
  • Design and implement strategic approaches for complex intellectual property cases.
  • Oversee and manage intricate discovery processes, including negotiations.
  • Lead or participate in taking and defending depositions.
  • Draft detailed pleadings, motions, and pre-trial briefs with clarity and effectiveness.
  • Represent clients in court, arguing motions such as evidentiary, claim construction, and dispositive motions.
  • Draft compelling appellate briefs for higher court proceedings.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3-6 years of hands-on experience in intellectual property litigation, encompassing patents, trademarks, and related disputes.
  • Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of all litigation stages, from pre-suit analysis to appeals.
  • Attributes: Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters independently and collaboratively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a recognized, accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar or eligibility for Wisconsin Bar admission.

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with a state bar association, with a preference for Wisconsin admission.
