A law firm in Rockville Centre, NY, is seeking a dedicated Attorney with 1-6 years of experience, preferably in landlord-tenant litigation and eviction proceedings. The ideal candidate will reside on Long Island and be located near the office. Job Duties:

  • Represent clients in landlord-tenant litigation and eviction proceedings from inception through resolution.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and eviction notices.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and briefs on relevant legal issues.
  • Appear in court for hearings, trials, and motions to advocate for clients.
  • Negotiate settlements and manage dispute resolution processes between landlords and tenants.
  • Advise clients on their rights and obligations under landlord-tenant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
  • 1-6 years of experience in litigation, with a preference for experience in landlord-tenant disputes and eviction proceedings.
  • Residency on Long Island and proximity to the Rockville Centre office.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
