Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Transaction Associate to join a dynamic transaction team focused on U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) lending transactions. This role involves working on a variety of commercial transactions, including loan documentation, title work, UCC/lien searches, and lease agreements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with strong communication skills and the ability to manage a diverse and fast-paced workload.

Duties:

  • Assist in negotiating and drafting loan documentation for SBA lending transactions.
  • Review title work, surveys, UCC/lien searches, leases, lease-related agreements, and purchase/sale documentation.
  • Perform due diligence tasks related to commercial lending transactions.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate and efficient transaction completion.
  • Manage a high volume of tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties involved in transactions.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in commercial lending transactions.
  • Experience in negotiating loan documentation and reviewing title work, surveys, and related documents.
  • Familiarity with UCC/lien searches, leases, and purchase agreements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • SBA lending experience is preferred but not required.

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the jurisdiction of employment.
