Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a Finance and Restructuring Associate to join its dynamic Finance & Restructuring practice group. This position will provide the opportunity to work with financial institutions, public and private companies, and private credit. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate finance transactions, including loan originations, real estate financings, and related documents. This hybrid role allows flexibility across multiple office locations.

Location:

  • Princeton, NJ

Duties:

  • Draft and review loan agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and related documents
  • Advise clients on covenant compliance, structuring financial transactions, and legal requirements
  • Lead and manage due diligence teams and specialists in corporate finance transactions
  • Manage multiple assignments and complex cases with minimal supervision
  • Assist in loan originations, real estate financings, and other commercial finance transactions
  • Provide legal counsel to financial institutions, borrowers, and private credit clients
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to deliver high-quality results

Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in corporate finance, commercial finance transactions, and restructuring matters
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting loan agreements, security documents, and intercreditor agreements
  • Strong experience advising clients on covenant compliance and managing due diligence teams
  • Ability to independently manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar of the relevant jurisdiction where the position is located

Skills:

  • Advanced legal writing and drafting skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage complex transactions and assignments with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in corporate finance law and related areas
