Employment Litigation Attorney

A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking an Employment Litigation Attorney with over 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling cases related to employment law statutes, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the New York State Human Rights Law, the New York City Human Rights Law, and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging employment litigation matters in a collaborative environment.

Duties:

• Represent clients in employment litigation cases before federal and state courts and administrative agencies.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including pre-trial discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
• Advise clients on compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation or alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Stay current on developments in employment law, including relevant case law and legislative changes.
• Provide training and guidance to clients on employment policies and best practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop litigation strategies and case management plans.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• 3+ years of experience in employment litigation, with a focus on relevant statutes.

Certifications:

• Active member in good standing with the New York State Bar Association.
