Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 2-4 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling motions, discovery, court appearances, and mediations. Experience with electronic billing and billable hours for insurance carriers is a plus. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute litigation processes including drafting and filing motions, conducting discovery, and preparing for court appearances.
• Represent clients in mediations and courtroom proceedings, ensuring robust advocacy and effective case presentation.
• Handle all aspects of case management, including case strategy, document preparation, and communication with clients and opposing counsel.
• Maintain accurate and detailed case records, including documentation of billable hours and expenses.
• Utilize electronic billing systems to submit and track invoices for insurance carriers and other clients.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes to resolve disputes efficiently.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other legal professionals to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
• Provide regular updates to clients regarding case progress, legal options, and potential outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to legal deadlines and procedural requirements throughout the litigation process.
• Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts by identifying opportunities for new business and client relationships.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active attorney license in California.
• 2-4 years of experience in litigation, with a strong understanding of legal procedures and case management.
• Experience with electronic billing systems and tracking billable hours preferred.
• Proven ability to handle a caseload efficiently and effectively.
