The ideal candidate will take on responsibilities related to legal research, drafting motions, and depositions, and managing court appearances within the field of commercial and construction litigation. Duties:

  • Conduct in-depth legal research on a variety of litigation matters
  • Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Prepare for and conduct depositions
  • Represent clients in court hearings and appearances
  • Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy and client communications
  • Manage case files and ensure all relevant documents are organized and up-to-date
  • Participate in settlement discussions and provide legal advice to clients when necessary
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals to ensure seamless execution of cases

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Strong legal knowledge of litigation processes and court procedures
  • Proven experience in legal research and preparing motions or briefs
  • Skilled in deposition preparation and execution
  • Familiarity with court systems and legal protocols
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Prior experience with construction law is beneficial
  • 2-4 years of litigation experience is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas

Skills:

  • Legal research and analysis

  • Deposition and court appearance preparation
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Time management and multitasking abilities
