Job Overview

An established law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney to join its Denver, CO office. This position involves representing and advising insurers in complex coverage and bad faith litigation, as well as managing cases from pretrial to trial. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to independently handle intricate insurance coverage matters across both property and liability lines.

Duties

• Develop and implement litigation strategies for insurance coverage disputes and class actions.
• Conduct legal research and analysis, and draft comprehensive memoranda.
• Analyze insurance policies and claims, and provide coverage advice and recommendations to clients.
• Take and defend depositions, draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and manage pretrial to trial processes.
• Oversee and supervise associates and paralegals.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation, with expertise in both property and liability coverages.
• Licensed to practice law in Colorado; additional state admissions are advantageous.
• Prior experience in both state and federal courts.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Admission to the Colorado State Bar (required).
