Job Overview: A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a General Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. Duties:

  • Attend mediations, trials, and hearings and fulfill other assigned duties.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft various legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery, proposed orders, correspondence, memoranda, and opinion letters.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Travel as required for case needs.
  • Write articles and deliver presentations to clients, trade associations, and ICLE.
  • Participate in firm marketing initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Member of the Georgia Bar, maintaining all necessary licensing and continuing legal education requirements.
  • Alabama Bar membership is a plus.
  • 5 years of litigation experience preferred, with specific expertise in Georgia; foreclosure experience is advantageous.
  • Title experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency in rules of evidence, introducing evidence, and civil procedure in state and federal courts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research tools like Fastcase or Westlaw.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and cases, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
