A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Immigration Attorney to join its team in Dallas, TX. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with 1 to 4 years of immigration law experience to contribute to a growing practice. The successful candidate will have the chance to manage diverse caseloads, work closely with a collaborative team, and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on immigration matters and develop strategic solutions tailored to their needs
  • Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals
  • Handle a broad caseload, ensuring cases move forward efficiently and within deadlines
  • Conduct client intake and consultations, particularly with detained individuals at local centers
  • Prepare and file various immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense requests
  • Review immigration applications and filings, making necessary adjustments to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, government agencies, and community organizations regarding evolving immigration laws
  • Meet with prospective clients to determine immigration strategies and offer legal guidance
  • Develop legal strategies for court and USCIS testimony, and prepare clients and witnesses for proceedings
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis to determine case benefits or risks for clients
  • Draft and submit legal briefs and other necessary documentation for various immigration cases

Requirements:

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in immigration law
  • Ability to effectively manage a caseload while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse clients and colleagues
  • Experience handling family-based immigration petitions, humanitarian applications, EOIR proceedings, detained cases, and other USCIS filings
  • Proficiency in case management software is preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership (preferably in Texas)

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of immigration law and regulations
  • Strong research, writing, and legal drafting skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on providing high-quality legal service
