Collections Litigator

A law firm in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Collections Litigator with 6+ years of experience, specializing in Homeowner’s Association Work (HOA). The ideal candidate will represent clients in consumer collections litigation, implement FDCPA requirements, develop case strategies, and manage collections processes for homeowner’s and condo associations.

Duties:

• Represent clients in consumer collections litigation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Implement FDCPA requirements and address debt verification issues as necessary
• Develop case strategies and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
• Manage collections processes for homeowner’s and condo associations, ensuring timely and compliant procedures
• Lead and supervise a team of associates and paraprofessionals, providing guidance, workload management, and training to meet case management and deadline requirements

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience with emphasis in Homeowner’s Association Work (HOA)
• Strong understanding of consumer collections litigation and FDCPA requirements
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing homeowner’s and condo associations
• Leadership experience, with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Missouri State Bar
