Job Overview: A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Associate Attorney with a strong background in first-party property and third-party general liability litigation. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience and a Florida Bar License. This position requires a proactive litigator capable of managing a diverse caseload and providing exceptional client representation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in insurance defense litigation, including first-party property and third-party general liability cases.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Manage all aspects of litigation from inception through trial, including case preparation, discovery, depositions, and courtroom appearances.
• Advise clients on legal strategies and potential outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements and handle settlement agreements.
• Collaborate with clients, witnesses, and expert witnesses to build strong defense cases.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal developments and industry trends relevant to insurance defense.
• Provide exceptional client service and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Participate in firm meetings and contribute to the firm's strategic planning.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida (Florida Bar License required).
• 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a focus on first-party property and third-party general liability cases.
• Proven experience in handling complex litigation cases from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of insurance defense principles and legal procedures.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Florida Bar License.
