Job Overview:

The Mid-level Litigation Associate Attorney will handle complex commercial litigation matters, particularly in the product liability and pharmaceutical sectors. They will collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies, draft legal documents, and represent clients in various stages of litigation.

Duties:

  • Communicate verbally and in writing with clients, lawyers, and third parties.
  • Supervise junior associates and collaborate with experts to develop case theories and strategies.
  • Assist development through research and preparation for depositions.
  • Review, draft, and file discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Participate in case strategy sessions and contribute analytical insights.
  • Manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines and expectations are met.
  • Adhere to firm policies and practices while maintaining high ethical standards.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Admission to practice law in Texas.
  • Minimum 3 years of litigation experience, ideally at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation preferred.
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Legal project management experience beneficial.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from a nationally recognized law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
