A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney with expertise in construction law to join its team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves managing a mix of litigation and transactional matters in the construction sector. Duties

  • Handle construction-related litigation, including preparation for court proceedings and dispute resolution.
  • Draft and review transactional documents such as contracts, agreements, and related materials.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft memoranda and motions.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on construction law matters.
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and contractors to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Represent clients in mediation, arbitrations, and court appearances.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of substantial experience in litigation and transactional law, particularly in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases and transactions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Commitment to high ethical standards and client service.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Utah or eligible to join the Utah Bar.
  • Active membership in good standing with the bar of any U.S. state if not currently licensed in Utah.
