Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pre-Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to manage their cases, advocate for their needs with insurance companies, medical providers, mediators, and judges, and help guide them through the personal injury claims process. Location:

  • Holland, OH

Duties:

  • Manage and work on client case files from start to finish

  • Conduct initial client consultations and sign up new clients

  • Develop case strategies and regularly communicate with clients regarding the status of their claims

  • Advocate for clients with insurance companies, medical providers, mediators, arbitrators, judges, and juries

  • Prepare settlement demands and negotiate with insurance adjusters

  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to handle case files effectively

  • Prepare trial materials when necessary and support litigation efforts

  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients, ensuring they feel supported throughout the process

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients in their most challenging moments

Requirements:

  • Currently licensed to practice law and in good standing in Ohio

  • Prior plaintiff’s personal injury experience preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong ability to manage and supervise support staff as necessary

  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with a variety of people

  • Exceptional work ethic with a high motivation to work additional hours when necessary

  • No disciplinary record

  • Must be able to pass a background check

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to case management

  • Customer-service oriented with a passion for helping people

  • Willingness to accept and provide constructive feedback

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio (required)

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and communication skills

  • Ability to evaluate and develop case strategies effectively

  • Negotiation skills, particularly with insurance adjusters

  • Team player with excellent collaboration skills

  • Ability to work independently while managing a busy caseload
