Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join its team in Pasadena, CA. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in civil litigation, with experience in employment law, professional liability, insurance defense, and personal injury cases. Duties

• Independently manage a caseload of civil litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research, handle discovery, and analyze medical and employment records.
• Regularly represent clients in court appearances, depositions, and other proceedings.
• Communicate with clients and provide timely case updates.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other staff on complex litigation matters.
• Ensure that all cases are managed efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.

Requirements

• 2-7 years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience with employment law, professional liability, insurance defense, and personal injury is preferred.
• Strong case management and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in legal research and the ability to analyze complex legal issues.
• Strong writing and oral communication skills.
• Ability to take depositions and handle courtroom proceedings independently.
• California State Bar License (Required).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active California State Bar License (Required).
