Job Overview: A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Mid-Level Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with strong credentials and experience in counseling and representing management clients on various employment matters.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to management clients on various employment matters, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) counseling, wage and hour litigation, employee benefits, executive compensation, and international employment law issues.
  • Engage in brief writing for key motions and manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Ideally, possess court appearance and deposition experience, including taking and defending depositions.
  • Handle substantive work on wage, hour, and/or employment class action/PAGA matters.
  • Conduct employment counseling activities with a focus on management-side representation.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of significant litigation experience, preferably with exposure to employment law matters.
  • Experience with brief writing, discovery management, and, ideally, court appearances and depositions.
  • Prior experience with wage and hour and/or employment class action/PAGA matters is highly desirable.
  • Employment counseling experience with a management-side law firm.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree (or equivalent).
  • Admitted to the bar in California and in good standing, or taking steps to become admitted in California.
