Immigration Attorney

A law firm in Sherman Oaks, CA, is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Immigration Attorney with at least 1 year of experience in National Interest Waiver (NIW) and EB-1 immigration cases. The ideal candidate will hold a Bar license, demonstrate self-directed research abilities, and possess excellent technical writing skills. Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and represent clients in NIW and EB-1 immigration matters, including preparing and filing petitions and applications.
• Conduct self-directed legal research to stay updated on immigration law changes and best practices.
• Prepare detailed legal documents, including petitions, affidavits, and supporting evidence, with a high degree of accuracy.
• Develop and implement strategic approaches to immigration cases based on clients' needs and legal requirements.
• Advise clients on immigration processes, requirements, and documentation needed for their cases.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm to ensure comprehensive case management.
• Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in handling NIW and EB-1 immigration cases.
• Active Bar license required.
• Strong self-directed research abilities and a rigorous intellectual approach.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high caseload and work independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications
