Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

A well-established law firm in Tampa is seeking a dedicated Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join their growing Professional Liability practice group. The role involves representing professionals, such as attorneys, real estate agents, brokers, and accountants, in complex civil litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in handling all phases of litigation and a commitment to achieving excellent results for clients.

Duties:

• Represent clients in complex civil litigation matters, particularly in the area of professional liability.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including:
  • Fact investigation and legal research.
  • Drafting discovery and preparing pleadings.
  • Taking and defending depositions.
  • Participating in mediations and communicating with opposing counsel and clients.
  • Appearing in court for motions and pre-hearing proceedings.
• Handle substantive legal work to deliver optimal outcomes for clients.
• Collaborate with the legal team and contribute to the growth of the Professional Liability practice group.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage all phases of litigation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and case management abilities.
• Professional liability experience (preferred but not required).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials are essential.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Florida.
• Good standing with The Florida Bar.
