Duties

  • Insurance Defense & General Practice

    • Manage insurance defense cases, including the preparation of pleadings, discovery, and motions.
    • Handle general practice matters, providing legal counsel and representation to clients in various areas of law.
    • Assist senior attorneys in developing case strategies and participating in case preparation and court appearances.
  • Client Relationship Development

    • Build and maintain strong client relationships, including meeting with potential clients and identifying legal needs.
    • Leverage existing relationships to develop a personal book of business.
  • Litigation & Case Management

    • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
    • Represent clients in court, depositions, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
    • Work closely with clients and support staff to ensure efficient case progression and client satisfaction.
  • Professional Development

    • Participate in continuing legal education (CLE) to stay current with developments in insurance defense and other areas of law.
    • Collaborate with senior attorneys to expand your practice and gain exposure to diverse legal matters.

Requirements

  • Experience

    • 2-5 years of experience practicing law, with a preference for litigation experience.
    • Strong interest or background in insurance defense and general practice areas.
    • An existing client base is a plus but not required.

    • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively represent clients in court and negotiations.
