The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling upmarket bilateral, syndicated, and sponsor-backed deals for banks and private credit funds. The role requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to provide high-quality legal counsel and support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce accurate and timely legal deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence promptly.
  • Ensure all work products meet firm standards for quality and timeliness.
  • Manage deadlines, expectations, and workload efficiently.
  • Foster positive relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all firm policies, practices, and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage in various activities, including computer work, virtual meetings, and in-person interactions.
  • Perform additional duties, tasks, or special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in upmarket bilateral, syndicated, and sponsor-backed deals for banks and private credit funds.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with attention to detail and sound business judgment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including persuasive and influential communication abilities.
  • Effective research and problem-solving skills, coupled with conceptual thinking.
  • Management skills to lead and mentor junior associates when required.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in Delaware (DE) and good standing.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in financial transactions and debt finance.
  • Familiarity with Delaware corporate law and regulations.
  • Previous experience in a reputable law firm environment.
