Employment Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Attorney to join their team in Albuquerque, NM.

Job Overview:

The Employment Litigation Attorney will defend and litigate lawsuits related to employment matters, provide legal counsel to employers on labor and employment laws, and represent clients in various legal proceedings.

Duties:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.
• Provide advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 2+ years of litigation experience, with a strong background in employment law preferred.
• Active NM Bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly.
• Understanding of current court and employment-related agency (state and federal) procedures.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
