Job Overview

As an Immigration Attorney, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, representing clients before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals, and working closely with a talented team of legal professionals.

Duties

• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
• Provide legal counsel and strategic advice on a variety of immigration matters, including family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, and USCIS applications.
• Manage and prioritize an active caseload, ensuring timely and effective legal representation.
• Conduct client consultations and develop strategies for various immigration processes.
• Prepare and file diverse immigration applications, including petitions for removal defense and family-based immigration.
• Review and revise immigration application packets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS hearings.
• Work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law matters and policy changes.
• Draft legal briefs, motions, and other relevant documents for a variety of immigration cases.
• Stay informed on changes in immigration law to provide clients with the most up-to-date legal advice.
• Collaborate with colleagues and legal assistants on case management and strategy development.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in immigration law, with a strong track record of case management and client representation.
• Knowledge of family-based immigration petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR procedures, detained cases, and citizenship applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, legal teams, and other professionals.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Experience with case management software is a plus.
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases and maintain organized records.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Arizona.

Certifications

• Active Bar membership in good standing (Arizona).
