  • Conduct regular strategy sessions with clients and represent them in court hearings, trials, and mediation.
  • Oversee a diverse caseload, managing cases from inception to resolution.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Develop case strategies and provide legal counsel to clients.
  • Supervise the financial management of the firm, including billing, collections, and profitability.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate attorneys and staff, fostering professional growth and managing personnel issues.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards, manage risk, and address legal malpractice concerns.
  • Oversee administrative functions, including case management, document maintenance, and office operations.
  • Stay current with legal developments and encourage continuous education and training for the team.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Maryland State Bar.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience practicing family law, including divorce, custody, alimony, and child support.
  • Proven experience managing a legal team, including attorneys and support staff.
  • Extensive courtroom experience in family law, including trials, hearings, and negotiations.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills, with a focus on communication and empathy.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools, case management software, and relevant technology.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
