A law firm seeks an experienced Healthcare Litigation Associate to support its healthcare clients, including health plans and hospitals, in addressing complex legal challenges. This role involves delivering strategic solutions for regulatory compliance, reimbursement, privacy, and healthcare operations matters. The position offers the flexibility of optional remote work and is ideal for a motivated attorney with a strong background in healthcare litigation.

Duties:

  • Represent healthcare clients in litigation and arbitration, focusing on reimbursement disputes and compliance issues.
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance in healthcare operations, including privacy, health information security, and healthcare reimbursement.
  • Handle legal matters related to Medi-Cal managed care and contracts between providers and vendors.
  • Support healthcare clients in payer-provider disputes and mergers or acquisitions.
  • Conduct research and analysis on complex healthcare regulations and provide actionable guidance.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys to develop multidisciplinary solutions for clients' legal needs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably in healthcare law.
  • Proficiency in handling health care reimbursement and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Experience with public health care provider regulatory matters and Medi-Cal regulations is a plus.
  • Admitted to practice law in California; Nevada bar admission or willingness to sit for the Nevada bar is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
