Job Overview
A well-established law firm in Dallas, TX is looking to expand its legal team by hiring an experienced and skilled Family Law Attorney. This attorney will play a vital role in representing clients in family law cases such as divorces, child custody matters, and other related legal issues. The firm is seeking a motivated and professional individual to handle a diverse caseload while maintaining a high standard of client service.

Duties

• Represent clients in family law cases, including but not limited to divorce proceedings, child custody, and SAPCRs (Suit Affecting Parent-Child Relationships).
• Draft and prepare legal documents and pleadings for family court cases.
• Conduct legal research on family law issues and stay updated on changes in Texas law.
• Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients regarding family law matters.
• Prepare for and attend hearings and court proceedings related to family law cases.
• Collaborate with colleagues, paralegals, and other staff to ensure the effective handling of cases.
• Maintain organized and accurate case files, documenting all communications and progress.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Texas State Bar and active in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law practice.
• Solid understanding of Texas Family law and procedures.
• Exceptional research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Capability to manage a large caseload and meet strict deadlines independently.
• Proficiency in case management software and legal research tools.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Texas State Bar.
