Duties

• Draft wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents
• Advise executors and trustees on the administration of complex estates and trusts
• Prepare and file estate and gift tax returns, as well as tax-exemption applications
• Provide guidance to clients on trust structures and tax planning for private clients
• Offer litigation support for trust and estate-related disputes
• Collaborate with clients and advisors to manage sensitive matters and meet client goals

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in trust, estate, and wealth preservation law
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain a high level of organization

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York and in good standing
• Dual licensing in New Jersey is a plus
