Job Overview:

A well-established law firm in Parsippany, NJ, is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team. This role offers the opportunity to provide strategic counsel to employers, handle complex employment-related litigation, and assist clients in navigating evolving labor laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment and labor law, with experience representing clients in court, before administrative agencies, and in arbitration settings.

Duties:

• Represent employers in labor and employment-related litigation at the state and federal levels.
• Advocate for clients in administrative proceedings before agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
• Provide legal counsel on matters involving discrimination, breach of contract, wage and hour violations, and other employment-related disputes.
• Draft and review employment policies, agreements, and internal workplace guidelines.
• Conduct internal investigations and advise clients on best practices for compliance with labor laws.
• Collaborate with legal teams to develop case strategies and client solutions.
• Stay informed on emerging labor and employment laws to provide proactive guidance.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in labor and employment law.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal advocacy abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proactive problem-solving skills with a client-focused approach.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing (CT and NY Bar admission is a plus).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in New Jersey (additional state admissions are a plus).

Skills:

• Litigation and arbitration experience in employment law cases.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including contracts and employment policies.
• Strong negotiation and dispute-resolution abilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice.

Job Location:

• Parsippany, NJ (Hybrid work schedule: three in-office days, two remote days per week).
