Corporate Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Kansas City, MO, seeks a Corporate Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in transactional matters, mainly on REITs and real estate investments. This role requires excellent legal understanding, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.

Duties:

• Collaborate with a dedicated team on REITs and other real estate investments.
• Contribute to the coordination and execution of complex transactional matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and financings.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various transactional documents under supervision.
• Conduct diligence reviews to identify legal risks.
• Structure joint ventures and strategic investments.
• Coordinate deal closings and manage ongoing legal issues.

Requirements:

• JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 3-5 years of relevant corporate law experience, preferably focusing on real estate transactions.
• Licensed to practice law in Missouri or eligible for admission.
• Experience with borrower/owner-side transactions preferred.
• Ability to coordinate transactions with third-party vendors preferred.
