A law firm seeks a highly skilled mid-level associate to join its Private Wealth Services Practice in Jacksonville, Florida. This role involves delivering strategic legal solutions in areas such as business succession, estate planning, tax planning, and business transactions. The ideal candidate will work with closely held and family-owned businesses, offering tailored legal strategies in a collaborative and supportive professional environment.

Duties

  • Advise clients on estate planning and business succession strategies, addressing complex individual and business needs.
  • Collaborate on tax planning for individuals, partnerships, LLCs, corporations, and family-owned enterprises.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including those related to business transactions and estate planning.
  • Work closely with clients to resolve legal and financial challenges, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Develop innovative solutions for wealth preservation, tax efficiency, and business continuity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of experience in estate planning, tax law, or business transactions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in serving closely held or family-owned businesses.
  • Strong document drafting and legal research skills.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • LL.M. in Taxation is required.

Certifications

  • Additional certifications in tax law, estate planning, or related disciplines are advantageous.
