Job Overview:
A law firm seeks an experienced and dedicated Associate Attorney to join its team in Carlsbad, California. Duties:

  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery motions.
  • Prepare and file motions for summary judgment and other necessary court documents.
  • Conduct depositions, interviews, and investigations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and deliver outstanding legal representation.
  • Attend hearings and court appearances as required.
  • Provide timely and effective client communication, ensuring client satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Maintained case files, tracked deadlines, and managed case schedules.

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of civil litigation experience, ideally with exposure to employment law.
  • Proven ability to draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Experience conducting depositions and preparing for trial.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
  • Commitment to excellent client service and high ethical standards.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and meet deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar (required).

Skills:

  • Civil litigation experience, particularly in employment law.
  • Strong research and legal writing abilities.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as pleadings and motions.
  • Familiarity with deposition and trial preparation.
