Personal Injury Associate Attorney

A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Personal Injury Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to focus on case strategy and professional development rather than time-consuming tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in depositions, court hearings, and mediations, and will benefit from mentorship by senior attorneys. Bilingual (Spanish) skills and Workers' Compensation experience are a plus.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters throughout litigation.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including complaints and motions.
• Draft and send meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes.
• Prepare clients for depositions and other applicable hearings.
• Take and defend depositions throughout the litigation process.
• Prepare and respond to motions, including dispositive motions.
• Attend court appearances and participate in mediations.
• Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases.
• Direct and support investigations related to assigned litigation matters.
• Engage in case strategy development with mentorship from senior attorneys.
• Participate in focus groups, trial preparation, and attorney skill programs.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in Personal Injury Law.
• Strong background in personal injury litigation, including pre-litigation case management and discovery.
• Experience in taking, defending, and preparing for depositions.
• Interest in attending court hearings and mediations.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and negotiate settlements.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Workers' Compensation experience is a plus.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Current good standing with the California State Bar.
