This role is remote-friendly, though occasional travel may be required for court appearances. Duties:

  • Handle a diverse caseload focused on creditors' rights, foreclosure, and consumer collection matters.
  • Utilize legal case management software to track and report on case progress.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, with occasional travel as required.
  • Provide regulatory compliance advice and manage various legal actions, including replevin and eviction cases.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to deliver high-quality legal services to clients, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, delivering superior client care.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in good standing with the state Bar where licensed to practice.
  • Knowledge of consumer credit collections, FDCPA, and state-specific laws governing consumer collections.
  • Courtroom experience, including appearances on behalf of clients in various legal matters.
  • Strong commitment to client service and maintaining open, consistent communication.
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative attitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active law license in at least one state is required.
  • Multi-state licensure is highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and case management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal software for case tracking and reporting.
