Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated CFIUS and International Trade/Export Controls Associate Attorney to join their Harrisburg, PA office. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience handling international trade regulatory compliance and enforcement, with a strong background in the Committee on Foreign Investments (CFIUS), U.S. export controls, and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). This position requires a proactive approach to managing complex regulatory issues and advising clients on compliance strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on compliance with CFIUS regulations and U.S. export controls, including ITAR and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Represent clients in CFIUS-related proceedings and negotiate with regulatory authorities.
  • Guide the Defense Priorities & Allocation System (DPAS) and its impact on clients' operations.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of international trade regulations and their implications for clients' business strategies.
  • Draft and review regulatory filings, including license applications and compliance reports.
  • Develop and implement compliance programs and training for clients.
  • Monitor changes in international trade regulations and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to deliver comprehensive legal services.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal opinions, memoranda, and other written materials.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in international trade regulatory compliance and enforcement.
  • In-depth knowledge of CFIUS, U.S. export controls, ITAR, and related regulations.
  • General knowledge of the Defense Priorities & Allocation System (DPAS) is preferred.
  • Must be admitted and actively barred in Pennsylvania (PA).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.

Skills:
