Mid-level Tax Associate

Job Overview: A reputable law firm is seeking a mid-level Tax Associate to join its Affordable Housing and Tax Credit Team. Location:

Duties:

• Represent clients in the development, acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, operation, and sale of affordable multifamily housing for families and seniors.
• Work on projects utilizing a wide range of federal, state, and local affordable housing programs.
• Advise clients on tax matters, including federal income tax credits and partnership tax issues.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and team members to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide high-quality legal advice and services.
• Draft and review legal documents related to tax credits, affordable housing, and real estate transactions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of experience in partnership tax law, with a preference for experience in federal income tax credits.
• Solid background in accounting and tax law.
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
• Member (in good standing) of any state bar.

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting (required).
• LLM in Taxation (preferred).

Certifications:

• Licensed attorney in good standing in any state.
