Job Overview

A prestigious law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level associate to join their Employment Group. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in employment counseling and will support cross-border and global employment issues. This position will involve advising on corporate transactions, employee terminations, restrictive covenants, employee mobility, and providing guidance to emerging companies on employment law matters. The role requires strong academic credentials, flexibility, and the ability to collaborate with teams across multiple offices.

Duties

  • Conduct employment diligence and provide advice on the employment aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements.
  • Advise clients on employee terminations, reductions in force, and other workforce restructuring matters.
  • Draft restrictive covenants and counsel clients on employee mobility issues.
  • Offer legal guidance to emerging companies across various employment law areas.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple offices on global employment matters.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in employment counseling (domestic and/or international).
  • Previous experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of international employment law and cross-border employment issues.
  • Ability to manage complex legal matters independently and efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction of application.
