Senior Trial Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Senior Trial Attorney with extensive experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of handling cases from inception to conclusion, including overseeing depositions, conferences, and mediations. Duties:

• Manage and oversee all phases of litigation, from case inception to resolution.
• Conducted and led depositions, conferences, and mediations.
• Draft and respond to written discovery requests, including interrogatories and document requests.
• Prepare and argue court motions, including dispositive and pre-trial motions.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and other legal matters.
• Collaborate with clients to develop case strategies and provide legal advice.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
• Ensure compliance with New York State legal procedures and regulations.
• Maintain detailed case files and documentation.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and support staff.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience handling litigation cases from inception to conclusion.
• Experience with depositions, conferences, and mediations.
• Proven ability to manage written discovery, motions, and general court practice in New York.
• Trial experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical and research skills.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Admission to practice law in New York State.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York State.
