A law firm located in Washington, DC is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with extensive experience in handling complex litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive skill set in legal research, brief-writing, document production, and discovery. This role requires a high level of professionalism, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of complex litigation, including legal research, brief-writing, and document production.
  • Conduct thorough discovery, including document review and production.
  • Draft, review, and edit legal briefs, motions, and other litigation documents.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop case strategies and execute legal plans.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases simultaneously, meeting all deadlines.
  • Maintain extreme attention to detail in all aspects of legal work.
  • Ensure effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in trial preparation, including preparing witnesses and exhibits.
  • Provide support in various phases of litigation, from pre-trial through post-trial activities.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience handling complex litigation matters.
  • JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Professionalism in client and colleague interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and balance competing responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
