A law firm seeks a mid to senior-level attorney to join its Boca Raton, FL office, specializing in flood insurance claims and first-party insurance disputes. The successful candidate will represent property owners in litigation and bring a wealth of experience in handling complex cases. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you can develop your legal skills while advocating for clients.

Duties:

  • Draft and argue legal motions related to flood insurance claims.
  • Prepare pleadings and discovery documents for litigation purposes.
  • Conduct and defend depositions throughout the litigation process.
  • Attend mediations to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes effectively.
  • Represent clients in court during trials.
  • Participate in marketing events organized by the firm to promote services.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in flood insurance litigation.
  • Proven ability to draft and argue dispositive and discovery motions.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with Westlaw and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with depositions and mediations.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.
